Collection of Views of Places
The Collection of Views of Places momentarily comprises of about 15.000 pictures of Styrian villages. It is ordered by villages and can be researched via a repertory as well as via the ADB of the Styrian Provincial Archives.
Pictures from the period of the 17th to the 20th Century are contained in the holdings. There are nearly all varieties of print graphics represented in the holdings and further many excellent artists, with most of them from the 19th Century. Many pieces are unique copies.
The mission of the Collection of Views of Places is to document appearances of settlements, buildings and landscapes in Styria. The collection is in frequent use. The production and use of reproductions is subject to the reproduction guidelines of the Styrian Provincial Archives.
