Postcard Collection
The postcard collection of the Styrian Provincial Archive contains about 92.000 postcards of Styrian villages and, to as small part, also of events. It is ordered by villages and can be researched via a repertory as well as via the ADB of the Styrian Provincial Archives. Villages of which many postcards are in stock are further partitioned.
The postcard collection covers the period from about 1890 to recent years.
The mission of the postcard collection is to document appearances of settlements, buildings and landscapes in Styria. The collection is in frequent use. The production and use of reproductions is subject to the reproduction guidelines of the Styrian Provincial Archives.
